The term car detailing has a lot of different meanings. To some, it means having their car washed and waxed. To others, it's a full cleaning and protection service, including having the interior shampooed and the engine steam cleaned. To the car enthusiasts, a fully detailed car is a work of art to be displayed.
Detailing services are offered in different levels depending on the condition of your vehicle. All Detailing service will go through an intensive wash procedure (2- 6 hrs depending on condition) this is to make sure all parts of the vehicle's exterior are clean and ready to be worked on. This will include engine bay, door checks, wheel arches, tar spot and surface contamination.
Ultimate Shine Detailing Services
The detailing service’s that are offered to customers are broken down into how many stages of paint correction are required to rectify the paint finish on the vehicle. This is done by either a Rotary Polishing tool or a Dual Action Polisher. Prior to any Paint correction service I will make an assessment on the paint finish and will take paint depth readings using a professional PTG (Paint Thickness Gauge) 
Ultimate Shine Protection Detail
This service is suited to customers that have their car maintained by Ultimate Shine on a Regular basis. Great service for your winter protection or your spring clean up. This service will include the following. Using a safe citrus degreaser to cleaner on all surfaces, this is done by using warm water mixed with degreaser soaking the car and leaving the product to dwell on the surface and then rinsed off. Next will be an intensive clean of all alloy wheels and a degresing of tyre sidewalls and arches. Next follows an intensive foam wash procedure then the car will be washed with a 2 bucket method and a premium grade lambswool wash mitt. Followed by a final rinse using purified water to ensure no impurities will be left on the surface. Car will be taken inside the studio and all surfaces dried, all contamination will be removed using chemical or clay procedures. This will ensure a perfectly clean surface's to work with, then another purified rinse to make sure all contamination is removed. Finaly the paint surface will recieve a glazing finish by machine to remove minor defects and to improve the gloss level. Car will be given an isopropal alcohol wipedown to make surface squeaky clean in time for a High Quality Wax or Sealant topping. All Wheels and Glass will be sealed and tyres dressed and exhuast tips polished and sealed. To finish off a vacum and clean of the interior including glass and any leather fed if present. This service will last for 3 - 6 months depending on use so enough to get you through to your next Protection Detail.

Ultimate Shine Minor Paint Correction and New Car Preperation Detail
This is the level of service for most customers with cars that are in a good condition to begin with but have various marks on the paint surface. i.e, bird dropping marks, washing marks, swirls, light surface scratches, bonded contamination on the surface. This service is also suited for new car preperation where the car has recieved contamination from transportation to the dealership and also rectify's any marks that the car has that hasn't been picked up by manufacturer. The wash procedure is the same as the protection detail covering all surfaces and creveces to make sure all surface are clean and ready to be worked on. The car will require in most cases a 2 stage paint correction, the first stage is with a light cutting compound to remove all visable surface defects this will take all paint surface back to a level where no defects are visable apart from some machining marks. The last stage of machine polishing is to remove any visable machine marks from the previous stage of correction and will ensure maximum gloss finish. Again the car will recieve a isopropal alcohol wipedown to make surface ready for the LSP (Last Stage Product) the desiscion of what product to apply will be discussed prior to application. All wheels and glass will be sealed and tyres dressed and exhaust tips polished and sealed. Interior will recieve the same treatment as the protection detail. This service will last 3-6 months depending on use.

Ultimate Shine Major Paint Correction Detail
This level of service is required on vehicles that show major sign's of deep surface scratches, paint overspray from fence painting, extreme washing marks incurred from car washes etc. Still finishing with the 2 stage paint correction from the minor service, the car will require a first stage with a more extreme cutting compound and using a harder polishing pad to remove more paint. Without doing this stage the correction would take an large ammount of time and would put the surface in danger of getting too hot. Finishing would be in the same way as the other 2 stages. This process is difficult to tell how long it will take untill we can asses the condition of the vehicle.
